About the Blogger
I am a fifty something aspiring writer. What can I say, I’m a late bloomer. I live on a small acreage in the Pacific Northwest with my husband, who I’ve been hanging out with since I was fifteen, and my rescue dog Cosmo. Most days you will find me dressed in rags and covered in dirt out in the gardens, where I cultivate fruits, berries, veggies and daydreams. I spend a lot of time out there thinking and I’ve figured a few things out. Life is good. It’s also a challenge. There is much to be thankful for, and much to be concerned about. It’s easier to navigate when you get off the fence and say what you need to say.
My interests and therefore my writings revolve around human nature, Mother Nature, dogs, music and art. I am a painter, gardener, wife, doggie mama, sister, crazy aunt, armchair environmentalist, and a wearer of comfortable shoes. I’m looking forward to sharing inspiration with you in the form of poems, essays, short fiction and creative non-fiction, with lovely images thrown in now and then for good measure.
